Content

 

This training includes the following components.

 

Understanding Research Publications

You will learn how to read research papers and how to summarise research papers. You will learn to search research articles using research databases. You will also learn about literature reviews and understand the publishing requirements of a research paper. 

 

Developing a Research Proposal

In this part, you will gain knowledge of writing your research proposal. You will develop your research proposal with the help of provided guidelines and template. The teachers will also provide feedback on your proposal after the submission for further improvement.

 

Finding a PhD Supervisor

You will learn about contacting and communicating with the research supervisors through challenging tasks. You will also learn about writing a formal email and motivational letter for your research project and gain skills in communicating with faculty members.

 

Research Poster Presentation

In this part, you will gain skills and experience in designing your poster presentation. You will be provided with a template and guidelines to develop your poster presentation which you can also use for future conferences/seminars. You will gain skills in developing attractive research posters for conferences and learn to pitch your research. 

 

Science Communication

The Science Communication course aims to develop science communicators who can apply communication strategies, manage science events, and plan marketing strategies. It will develop skilled science communicators with the required expertise to deliver high-quality science communication activities. This course is designed to equip you with the knowledge you need for the practical delivery of science communication. Through the final project report, you’ll gain the essential knowledge and skills required to implement science event management and communication strategies. It will provide students with the practical opportunity to apply their learning through the design of a science communication activity. This programme will be delivered by the Cambridge Centre for Innovation and Development. Mentorship Session

Live mentorship session will be arranged to provide you with guidance and support during your bootcamp training journey. You will have an opportunity to ask questions and discuss challenges in getting PhD positions or research tasks with Professors and Academic Leaders.

Delivery & Duration 

 

This online training is delivered on our virtual learning platform (Moodle). The training is self-paced and it can be completed on your own schedule within 08 weeks (2 months). The training includes learning material, ebooks, and challenging tasks.

 

This training is designed in collaboration with the leaders of Cambridge Centre for Innovation and Development, UK, and collaborators of Laboratory Skills Development Centre, London.

This training is designed for all levels of degree students and professionals related to any area of science. You must have good English language skills. The mentioned requirement is for guidance only.

Certificate

 

You will get an acknowledgment e-certificate for attending Bootcamp Training Programme at Cambridge Expert Training Forum after completing all the compulsory tasks of your training.

A. Yes, this training can be completed online part-time along with other full-time studies or work. You will receive access to our online platform, which you can access anytime on your schedule to complete the tasks within 2 months.

Q. Does it include live mentorship and what is the schedule of the live sessions?

A. A. Yes, there are optional live mentorship sessions in the training. However, all live sessions will be arranged after 16:00 pm UK time.
